Terms of Service

Effective July 19, 2026

The short version: use Vocalis lawfully, review what it types before you rely on it, and your dictations stay yours. Voice-data handling is covered in detail in the Privacy Policy. The full terms below are what govern.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and TechSci Inc. (“TechSci”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of Vocalis — our voice dictation applications for desktop and mobile, the Vocalis website, and the Vocalis API (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” refers to it.

2. The Service

Vocalis converts your speech into text, cleans it up, and inserts it where your cursor is. Output is generated by automated speech-recognition and language models and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing dictated text before relying on it or sending it anywhere that matters.

We may add, change, or remove features over time. Beta features are labeled as such and provided as-is; they may change or be withdrawn without notice.

3. Your account

You need an account to use most of the Service. Keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly at the address below if you suspect unauthorized use. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

Organization administrators may manage members, enforce privacy policies, rotate API keys, and export or delete workspace data. If your account belongs to an organization's workspace, that organization controls it.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to violate the law, infringe others' rights, or record people without any consent required where you are. Do not probe, overload, or disrupt the Service; do not resell it or attempt to extract our models or others' data; do not misrepresent dictated output as a verbatim legal record when it has been cleaned up by design.

5. Your content

You own your dictations, transcripts, dictionary entries, snippets, and notes (“Your Content”). You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service: to process audio into text, apply your settings, sync across your devices, and store what your privacy settings permit. How voice data is handled — including what is never stored — is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to dictate it into the Service.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable. We may change prices with notice effective from your next renewal.

7. Intellectual property

The Service — including the applications, site, models' orchestration, and branding — belongs to TechSci and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks. We welcome feedback and may use it without obligation to you.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service (in which case we will give reasonable notice). Sections that by their nature should survive termination do.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that transcription will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TechSci will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenues, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will give notice — by email or in the product — before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
